Anna E. Zionskowski

Anna was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and very devoted in her faith.

She was born on Aug. 2, 1921. Anna was the daughter of Wade and Mary (Robinson) Morgan. On Aug. 27, 1949, she was united in marriage to Frank P. Zionskowski. They raised five children together.

Anna enjoyed spending time with her family and especially being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spent many summers canning everything from cherries, plumbs, peaches and GREEN BEANS. Not a member of the family including their spouses got out of snipping beans.

Anna worked for the Traverse City State Hospital. When she retired, she spent her time volunteering. She volunteered with Father Fred at the State Hospital Chapel. She also volunteered her time helping the Carmelites and took Communion to the sick at Munson Hospital.

Anna is survived by her children; Paul (Char) Zionskowski, Carol (Harry – deceased) Page, Michael Zionskowski, and Bernadine (Paul) Lezon and 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, her daughter, Bernadette (Dolly) Lezon, her parents and two siblings.

The family would like to thank all of the CENAs and nurses on Dogwood who cared for her at the Pavilions. They were her other family when her family couldn’t be there because of COVID-19.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24 at the Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City, MI from 5 to 7 pm with the rosary offered at 7 pm. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, June 25 at 11 am with Visitation one hour prior at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Traverse City, MI. Services will conclude with interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Traverse City, MI.

Memorial contributions in honor of Anna may be made to the Carmelite Monastery in Traverse City, MI and the Food Pantry at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
