Mac R Keene

Mac attended Elementary and high school in Traverse City, graduating in 1933.

He married the late Helen Estelle Foster, daughter of Conrad H. and Anna B. foster, on March 27, 1937.

He was engaged in retail lumber and building supply business for forty-four years in Traverse City.

Mac was a long time member of the First Congregational Church and life-time member of Masonic Lodge #222, both in Traverse City.

Mac is survived by his son Gary Keene of Traverse City; three sisters: Mrs. Mark (Phyllis) Babcock, Mrs. William (Jeanne) Baker, and Mrs. Carl (Doris) Martin; also several nieces and nephews; grandchildren: Bryan Richard Keene, David Lee Keene, Todd Karl Keene, and Debra Ann Kotesky; great grandchildren: Peter Conrad Keene, Emily Cathrine Keene, Bridget Caroline Keene, Christopher Bryan Keene, Holly Estelle Keene, Arthur James Scramlin, Rebecca Ann Branam, and Dana Jane Adsit; and one great great granddaughter Maddison Aynn Babcock.

Besides his parents, Mac was preceded in death by his wife Helen, sons: Richard Conrad and Michael Karl Keene.

Per his wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Home of Traverse City.
