Alex I can’t believe it’s been 5 years since you passed. I think about you every week and often find myself wanting to text you but realize I cant. But I still pray for you and talk to you and choose to believe you hear me. You were a great friend and “partier” and we have great memories of you!

Nobody I have ever known or heard of fought harder to live than Alex. He left no treatment unexplored and I never heard him complain even once.  He was so generous and fun to be with. He could always make me laugh without trying. Alex and I liked talking about what Rush Limbaugh had to say on numerous topics, guns and maybe Fox News babes :) from time to time. 
I think about him almost daily and it hurts to not be able to pick up the phone and hear from him, but it makes me tremendously happy to know that one of my best friends is pain-free and is rewarded with eternal life. He certainly earned it! I will see you again my friend.

What can you say about a best friend??  Alex was a one in a million friend.  We had so many things in common.  He was so generous and would do anything for you.  I miss him tremendously and I will never have another friend like him.  The best compliment I have received in this life was for Alex to call me his brother!  Alex, I love you and miss you daily.  I think of you constantly!


Family: The Steele family was truly saddened to learn of Alex’s passing. We have so many wonderful memories of Alex and the Liedtke family from our days as neighbors in Stone Mountain, GA. Always the polite, industrious, caring and humorous young man. Our hearts are broken. Tears roll down our cheeks. However, those  tears are met with a smile as we remember Alex. He always left us with a smile on our faces. Please know that you are in our thoughts. We send our heartfelt sympathy. ❤️
