He leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Blanche (Strange) Wallace; his daughter Cyndee Wallace; his granddaughter, Tyler Domansky and her fiancé, Evan Chalmers; his grandson, Tate Domansky and his companion, Alexandra Sexton, and many close friends.
Pete was born September 26, 1930, in Atlanta, Georgia, and was a lifelong area resident. He founded Pete Wallace Rigging & Machinery Moving, Inc. in 1971 and served hundreds of local industries, meeting their heavy machinery moving needs for over 40 years. He collected and restored antique automobiles and was an active member of the Model A Ford Club of America. He also enjoyed camping with several chapters of the Good Sam Club, finding a home the last 15 years with the Lucky 13’s. He and his beloved wife, Blanche, spent their retirement traveling all over the United States and Canada.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 3150 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, Georgia. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Garden. The family will greet friends from 1:00 until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital or the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
