James Alton Archer, age 87, of Loganville, GA passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021. He is preceded by his wife Alva Archer of 64 years, his parents Broadus and Susie Archer, and two baby brothers. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Debbie Archer Watson and Jack Watson Sr. of Hendersonville, TN; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Brandy Archer of Rockvale, TN, and Anthony and Tia Archer of Loganville, GA; 8 grandchildren, Jack Watson, Jr. (Cayce), Carrie Watson Kulesa (Jim), Chelsea Watson Brewer (Evan), Kelly Archer, Katie Archer, Caleb Lee, Joshua Archer, and Michael Archer; 7 great-grandchildren, Jackie Watson, Parker Watson, Kayleah Kulesa, Chloe Kulesa, Lily Brewer, Maddie Lee, and Anna Lee; 3 sisters, Carolyn Wright of Covington, GA, Earlene Rogers of Harriman, TN and Bonnie Carroll of Harriman, TN.

Born in Clearmont, GA and raised in Dekalb County. He has lived in Loganville for 26 years. He was employed and retired from Dekalb County Sanitation of 38 years. He loved to play golf and had 8 holes in one in his lifetime. He was a member at Cedar Lake Golf Club for many years. He loved watching westerns and Bill Gaither homecoming videos.

The Funeral Service to honor and celebrate the life of James A Archer will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Floral Hills Memory Garden. The family will receive friends on October 23, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Floral Hills Funeral Home.
