James Daniel Rolader, 93, of Loganville, Ga, passed away peacefully from heart failure on June 20, 2025. Born on September 20, 1031, to Evan and Hattie Mae Rolader, James grew up in a bustling household filled with love, along with his eleven brothers and sisters.
James served his country honorably for two years during the Korean War. In 1962, he married the love of his life, the late Almarine Rolader, whom he cherished deeply through 62 years of marriage until her passing in 2024. Together they raised three children, Brenda Brinkman, Phillip Rolader and Sabrina Conner. He profoundly loved his grandchildren and treasured his time spent with them in his retirement years.
As a dedicated fireman who proudly drove the fire truck, James also built a reputation as a diligent painting contractor, instilling in his children the value of hard work, patience, and generosity. A passionate outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping across America in his motor home, fishing waters big and small, gardening, golfing and bowling-where he won tournaments alongside his brother on their famous team, “The Roladers.” He especially loved hosting summer cookouts, grilling, and sharing stories with family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Floral Hills Cemetery in Tucker, GA, with visitation from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by the funeral from 12 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24th.
James fulfilled his life’s purpose gracefully – to love and be loved – and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A visitation for James will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home & Cremation, 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA 30084, followed by a funeral from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
