Scott,
What can you say about Scott? Im sure we could all share much. He had a personality that could easily light up a room and invite attention. His eyes, always wide open, intense, full of life but yet behind the curtain a menschiness joke lurking to pounce. Much like our beloved late Uncle Bobby, Uncle Mike or cousin Rob. 
A lover of great music and movies. Sometimes they were classics, some modern and some just plain weird stuff that no one has ever heard of. 
I can certainly understand the comments and memories of Scott from his former coworkers. His voice was very distinctive, much a like a James Earl Jones distinction. It was almost synonymous to Scott. But to me was almost a mirror likeness to Scotts dad, our dearly missed Uncle Jim. His voice could just draw you into a conversation to the point it almost didnt matter the topic. I could see how just having a conversation with people, while attempting to keep them calm, direct emergency assets to a situation to aid and assist would be a very fitting position for Scott. One where Im sure he would excel yet at the same time feel fulfilled at the end of a shift knowing he was able to help others in need.
Although we were not close growing up due to distance and age, we grew much closer in our adult years. Whether visiting at his home or at his moms. We shared great conversations and stories learning from each other. One memory sticks with me as we were visiting one of Scotts favorite breakfast diners where he used to live. It was within a year of one of his best friends passing and his father. During the midst of a uniquely serious conversation on life, most conversations were playful and jokingly. I felt I needed to let him know how much he is loved, that some of us are only a phone call away. For him to remember to always be himself, tenacious to the core. I love you Cus and you will be truly missed.


a large shade has been pulled down since learning of Scott's death and our shared love of films and movie books can never be the same - it was a great experience to know Scott, who once visited me in the State of Maine back in the 90s - we both remarked on our accents and have enjoyed many long phone calls before the visit and since - see ya in the Movie Theater in the sky someday!

So sorry to hear of Scott’s untimely passing. Scott will forever be Mary and Jeannie’s funny, fun-loving older brother. He was a true fan of movies and music and he steered those of us who were a few years younger with new suggestions. My deepest condolences to the family - our thoughts are with you.

Scott worked with my sister, Michelle, in Norcross.  She shared stories of her coworkers from time to time & I was familiar with their names. I knew Scott was funny, loved movies, loved to rock, loved animals.  My cat, Radar, became very sick requiring costly er care. Scott opened his wallet to give me $40 to help. Didn't know me. What an amazing man! Though I've talked to & texted him,  I never had the pleasure of meeting Scott. I honor his kindness & big heart!

Scott was a great dispatcher. But more than that a good friend. 
There’s a poem called The Dash.  Basically it states the dash between ones birthdate and death day is what matters.  Scott is the epitome of the dash. He lived his life to the fullest. Loved his family dearly and always had a smile.

Scott was truly one of a kind! His easy going nature, sense of humor and prescient abilities as a dispatcher will be sorely missed. He was always several steps ahead of me when I had the pleasure of working the street under his watchful eye. He remained unflappably calm no matter what was happening, providing a sense of comfort to all who knew him.

Scott was a dispatcher at Alpharetta.  His smooth voice would put calm into any critical situation.  He had the ability to provide information quickly and professionally.  Thank you for your service Scott and rest in peace.  

All the officers in Norcross liked to argue and gush over which one of us was cooler with Scott.  I got to be the one to say, "well you know, I've gone to a few IMAX movies with him."

Something not mentioned thus far was his effortless ability to hit you with a wildly insightful observation.  It was always packaged as a genuine compliment.  I watched him do it to a lot of people.  That was such a unique and sweet trait of his.

Now reading these memories I see it runs in the family.  He was 100% that textbook goofy uncle and I loved the mention of his sideways glance!

Scott and Uncle Bobby our family funny guys, 2 wonderful characters.  Both much loved, both gone too soon.  Our family not the same.  We miss you guys.  

Scott was one of the best dispatchers I had the pleasure of working with.  He had such a unique voice and a sense of humor that he would leave me laughing sometimes just from the way he dispatched even routine calls.  I used to visit him in the 911 center so we would discuss movies as he was such a film buff.  I missed him when he left the department and was truly saddened to hear he had passed.  My condolences to his family and friends.

My world will never be quite as bright without you in it. Your sideways glance and big smile could light up a room.

My heart is broken.

I worked with Scott for many years in the Alpharetta 911 center.  He was a great co-worker and even better friend.

SCOTT WAS EVERYTHING I WISH I WAS... A GREAT DISPATCHER, HANDSOME, ARTICULATE, HAD A GREAT VOICE, VERY FUNNY, AND EVERYONE LOVED HIM.

I believe I am still in shock, but this isn't about me - 

Scott was so much fun a ton of memories, going to the Fox for a show or hanging out on shift, or having a drink. He and his voice always made A squad fun. I will always remember him, miss him and wish I could hear his voice just one more time. 

Scott was an hilarious guy who was a joy to work with. We had many long conversations about movies and life that I remember fondly and will always cherish. Scott always kept his sense of humor even when things were tense. He was cool under pressure and his skills kept us safe. He was one of the best dispatchers I’ve ever known and was just a great guy. I miss you, brother. Thank you for your service. 

I worked with Scott in Alpharetta, he was one of our dispatchers.  What I liked about the Scott, he was always attentive, he was funny, very well spoken, and he took care of the officers who he dispatched for.  No matter how chaotic or upsetting a call could be, he was always calm, which was well received.  Scott was a great man and dispatcher, he will be missed. 

I am so sorry for you loss! I worked with Scott when he dispatched for Alpharetta. His calm manner and great radio voice was a comfort at night when we had stressful events. You could always count on Scott to help everyone stay focused and calm. He was a tremendously talented person! I was looking forward to him coming back to work with us and am saddened we won't get the chance to make more memories. 

Many heartfelt condolences for the Williams family.  Scott was a kind, selfless man with a wicked sense of humor! He was devoted to his family and a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend. His knowledge of movies was astounding. He will be greatly missed.

Uncle Scott was the textbook "Goofy Uncle". He always new how to lighten the mood of a room and always had a joke for any situation. For holidays and birthdays he would give us cards that were for the wrong holiday and sometimes they would be in a different language. It was always funny to open a birthday card to see a Chihuahua  greeting you with  "Feliz Navidad!" This is a tradition that I plan to continue. 

Uncle Scott always had a passion for movies and books. I always said that he should have been a movie critic. The things he would notice about movies was always interesting to hear. He could spot obscure references to other things that no one else would notice. 

We will miss you Uncle Scott and will always love you.
