He was born in Walnut, MS the son of the late John Richard and Myrtle Dickson Booker.
He retired from Kraft Foods after 40 yrs of service.
He was a veteran, a Mason, and a member of Maranatha Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 67 yrs, Annie Jones Booker of Tucker; his daughters, Susan and her husband John Patrick Callahan, Sr. of San Angelo, TX, and Karen Brandon of Lawrenceville, GA; his son, Wallace Wayne Booker of Jefferson, GA; his sister, Joyce Booker of Memphis, TN; his grandson, John Patrick Callahan, Jr. and his wife Christie of Abilene, TX and great grandson, John Patrick Callahan III.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Floral Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Stallings officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 9 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
