

Dixon. As a school boy, he delivered papers for the Ft. Pierce Tribune, was an Eagle Scout and played center all 4 years at Ft. Pierce High School.. After high school, he served 16 months for the U.S. Army Occupation Forces in Japan. He graduated from the University of Florida and then went onto New Orleans Seminary where he met and married his first wife of 46years Marjorie Floyd Dixon. Together they served in several churches before entering the Mission Field for 3 years in Guyana, South America. Upon returning to the states, he worked 30 years with the State of Georgia as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor as well as pastoring several churches and serving as a volunteer chaplain for 22 years at the DeKalb County Jail.
John is survived by his wife of 10 years, Karin Dixon. His daughters Karen Fullmer and son-in-law Ollie Fullmer, Gayle Robinson and son-in-law Keith Robinson, granddaughters Lorna and Hannah Fullmer and Grace Robinson as well as stepdaughters Karin Sue Sturm, Mary Alice , and Roberta Semler.
