

June was born in Eastman, GA on June 11, 1937. Upon graduation from high school in 1955, she found employment as a Southern Bell telephone operator in Macon, GA, where she met her future husband. After a seven month courtship they married and moved to Jimmy’s hometown of Tucker, GA. They lived their entire 48 years of married life in Tucker, until Jimmy’s passing. She remained in the same residence for 46 years until she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
June was a devoted wife and mother to three boys. She always put her family first, loved raising her children and spending time with her grandkids. All who knew her knew her selfless love and devotion to family and friends. She never had a harsh word to say to anyone and her friends all knew that she was always there when needed.
She was a life-long member of Briarlake Baptist Church. She taught toddlers in Sunday school as well as serving as class President and could always be found singing in the choir. She even volunteered to teach exercise classes until her 80th birthday.
Two sons, Danny Nash and his wife Karen of Burford, Dennis Nash and his wife Lisa of Flowery Branch, four grandchildren: Kaylee Nash, Connor Nash and his wife Cheyanne, Branson Nash and Ben Findley, survive her. Additionally , a sister, Sheryll Aulgur and her husband Bob of Marietta, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.
