She was born in Dawsonville, GA the daughter of the late James M. and Penelope Roper Hughes.
Mrs. Hay retired from Richs after serving many years as head cashier.
She was a member of Snellville United Methodist Church and was formerly a member of Lawrenceville Rd. UMC.
She and her husband Walter were active in the Rainbow Assembly and Eastern Star Chapter in Tucker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Hay.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Floral Hills Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1-3 pm at the funeral home.
