Shirley Southern Ledbetter, 76, of Atlanta, formerly of Ellijay passed away on October 1, 2012. She was born in Ellijay on October 17, 1935, the daughter of the late Eulous F. Southern and Lima Bearden Southern; Mrs. Ledbetter was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Henry H. Ledbetter; her daughters, Amelia Allen of Destin, Fl, and Dawn Ledbetter of Atlanta, GA; her sister Irene Cox of Duluth, GA; her brothers Max Southern of Loganville, Jimmy Southern and Jerry Southern, both of Ellijay; 7 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 5, 4pm-8 pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Tucker, GA. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 6 at 2pm at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4735 Britt Rd., Norcross, GA 30093.
