Adelina Alicia Tapia

Born on July 10, 1945, in Patagonia, Arizona, Adelina was a devoted wife, a loving mother, proud and extremely warm-hearted Nana, ecstatic Nani, treasured sister, aunt, and friend. Her life was centered on the love for her family, the joy of home cooking, and inspiring strength that touched everyone she knew.

She is survived by her kids: Arnold Tapia, Merlinda La Turco (Armando), and Anabel Moreno (Rene); grandkids: Alizianna (Ryan), Benjamin Jr., Elyana, Ricardo, and Adelinda; and great-grandkids: Emma, Bella, Lia, and Antonio. She also leaves behind her cherished sister/best friend, Cecilia Sanchez, and endearing sisters- & brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

Adelina is preceded in death by her one and only love, her husband of 59 years, Antonio S. Tapia; parents, brother Alex Laguna, adored Nanas Chica and Marianna, aunts, uncles, and nephews.

A true matriarch, Adelina dedicated her life to caring for others, always offering a helping hand, a listening ear, and a warm home cooked meal. Her generosity, compassion, and unshakable love will be forever remembered and missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of Adelina’s life will take place on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 S. Park Ave., Tucson, AZ 85706. Light refreshments and pastries to follow.
