Barbara J Morris-Kretschmer

Barbara J. Morris-Kretschmer of Tucson, Arizona, went home with the Lord on July 24, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Raymond and Grace Johnston on December 13, 1922. She was the youngest of four children. Barbara met and married the first love of her life, Johnnie, in 1942. They were blessed with three sons. She cared for Johnnie until the Lord called him home in June of 1983. She married Richard Kretschmer in 1987. They enjoyed a beautiful life of travel until he was called home in June of 1999.

Preceded in death by her parents, two husbands (Johnnie and Richard), three siblings (Ray, Marvin, and Richard), countless friends and her beloved Granddaughter Katie.

She is survived by her three loving sons along with their wives, Jerry (Vicki), John (Dianne), and Jeff (Linda) all of Tucson, AZ., Grandsons – Chris Morris (Charity) and Johnnie Morris (Heather). Granddaughters - Christine Gunn and Amanda Morris. Great-Grandchildren - Nicholas (Dana), Chloe, Sydney, Brecken, Megan, Wyatt, River, Ethan, Abigail, Nathan, and Aidan. Great-great grandson, Thor. She was a bonus mom to Steve (Paulette) Kretschmer and grandmother to Lisa of Illinois. Her children were the center of her universe and a deep source of personal pride. Her relentless zest for life and devotion to her family and friends will be missed dearly.

A Celebration of her Life will be held on August 18, 2018, @ 1 p.m. at East Lawn Palms Cemetery and Mortuary, 5801 E. Grant Rd. in Tucson, Arizona. In Lieu of Flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to The American Lung Association or Agape Hospice Care.
