Bertha Cortez Perez

A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Bertha devoted her life to her family, filling their lives with warmth, care, and unwavering love.

Born to Ysidro and Marina Cortez, Bertha was raised with strong values and deep-rooted faith that guided her throughout her life. She dedicated many years to nurturing young lives as a childcare provider, leaving a lasting impact on countless families.

Bertha was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gustavo Perez; her sister, Mary Rico; her great-grandson, Manuel Aguilar; and her parents, Ysirdo and Marina Cortez.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in her children, Georgina Busby, Evelyn Aguilar, and Gustavo (Yvonne) Perez; her brother, Tony (Graciela) Cortez; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Bertha’s laughter, compassion, and lifelong devotion to her family will be forever remembered.

Services for Bertha Cortez Perez will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706:

· Visitation: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM

· Funeral Service: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

· Graveside Service: 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM at South Lawn Cemetery
