

Betty Jean Freeman was born Betty Jean Patterson on February 26, 1930 in Harrodsburg Kentucky. Betty Jean was a member of Benton Southern Baptist Church, Dixville Kentucky with her parents, George and Mamie Patterson, sister, Viola and brother, Bobby Day. She grew up in Harrodsburg where she graduated Harrodsburg High School in 1948. After moving to Tucson Arizona with her husband Clyde and children Linda and Paul in 1961, she became a real estate broker and successfully managed Freeman Realty and rental properties with her husband of 52 years. Betty was a devoted Southern Baptist wife, mother, and grandmother. She passionately believed in her beloved children and grandchildren and enjoyed their every success. She was an avid University of Arizona Wildcat fan; never missing a game in person or on TV. Betty was strong and resilient through life's challenges; always trusting in God to lead her through. She is survived by her daughter Linda Eager, son Paul Simmons, brother Bob Patterson, and grandchildren Whitney Kyle, David Kyle and Daniel Simmons. She passed away peacefully on June 3, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She is deeply missed.Arrangements under the direction of East Lawn Palms Mortuary, Tucson, AZ.
