Brad was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and respected member of his community. He shared 38 years of marriage with his wife, Pat Marshall, building a life centered on family and shared memories. He is also survived by his two children, Robert Marshall married to Vanessa and Catherine Robinson married to Galen, and his three grandchildren, Marshall Robinson, Manny Marshall, and Patty Marshall.
As a child, Brad spent many of his summers in Indiana on his grandfather’s farm. He was especially close to his grandfather, Robert, who played an important role in his early life. That bond carried forward through the generations, and Brad later named his son Robert in his honor.
Brad worked for many years as a landscape supervisor, providing for his family and building relationships with people in the community. It was not uncommon for him to return home with small items from clients who could not pay for his work, reflecting the connections he formed with the people he served.
He was known as a dedicated father who was always present for his children. Brad proudly coached softball for his daughter Catherine and made sure he was at every game for both of his children, offering constant support and encouragement.
Brad had a deep love of reading and listening to records, and he was especially passionate about history. He was endlessly curious about the world and loved learning new things, continuing to expand his knowledge even in the final days of his life. Friends and family often admired how much he seemed to know about everything, from history to how things worked and how to fix almost anything.
Above all else, Brad’s family meant everything to him. He was deeply sentimental and held on to objects that reminded him of the people he loved. From his grandfather’s old International truck to a small plastic billy goat that reminded him of his son, these keepsakes reflected how strongly he valued family and memory.
Brad will be remembered for his curiosity, knowledge, sentimentality, and deep devotion to his family. He leaves behind a family who loved him deeply and many memories of his support, wisdom, and presence.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
