We got him to Katy's high school graduation and it was so fun with a big celabratuion with all our friends and he loved every moment and was a big hit with all our friends! We love you and miss you everyday!

He was a wonderful father and more importantly a wonderful grandfather to our daughter Katy, who was the only one that took the time to travel out to see him for his last months. She took time out of her college fall and spring breaks to visit him and when he was in the hospital when even family member’s that lived in the area wouldn’t. All the way from the east coast. He adored her and the feeling was mutual. We miss him very much and is in our hearts. 

We will always hold Uncle Vic in our hearts & remember the wonderful friend he was to our Mom & Dad & to all of our family!

CARL VICTOR (VIC) HANSON, Jr.
Vic Hanson, 99, of Tucson, Arizona and Deerfield, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Crossroads Adult Care Home, Tucson, Arizona. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 11, 1915 to Carl Victor Hanson and Emma Schmeling. Vic was the eldest of three children and was predeceased by his sister, Alice Burst of St. Louis, MO and his brother, Raymond G. Hanson of Kewanee, Illinois. In 2007 he was also predeceased by Betty (Elizabeth Wilcox) Hanson, his wife of 67 years. 
He worked professionally in Chicago for many years as a salesman, later active in his own advertising firm (for a time with his brother Raymond as a partner).
In 1962 he moved with Betty and their two younger children to Tucson, Arizona, where good Illinois family friends (the Worthingtons and Seilers) had moved before them. 
Vic was active in Rotary as well as in local philatelic organizations. Stamp-collecting was his favorite hobby and he exhibited his Germania and Bavarian collections many times, winning prizes for these at competitions in several states. Fishing was another passion and he and son Jeff took many fishing trips together over the years. He and Betty loved to travel in Arizona, Canada and other parts of the west, but also made several trips back to the midwest to visit family back in Illinois and Wisconsin. Vic was also a gifted photographer and left behind many albums with photos of their travels. Before his retirement at 72 he worked as a realtor in Tucson for many years for the Roy H. Long Realty Company.
Vic is survived by his son, Geoffrey C. Hanson, of Mesquite, NV; his daughter, Beverly Jean Radford, of Three Lakes, WI; Charlotte Jacob-Hanson, of Bad Soden, Germany; and Elizabeth C. Money, of Kiawah Island, SC; his grandchildren, Scott and Brett Radford, Sky Cook, and Katherine (Katy) Money, as well as his great-grandchildren, Scott Radford, and Griffin and Victoria (Tori) Radford.
Friends of the family were invited to attend a memorial service honoring Vic Hanson on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 11:00 a.m until 12:00 noon at the East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 E Grant Rd., Tucson, Arizona. 
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Vic and Betty Hanson's names to the organization Harmony Hospice & Home Care, 3040 N. Country Club Rd., Tucson, Arizona 85716.
