BALL, Carolyn Evans, during a home birth in Corbin, Kentucky Carolyn Evans Ball was born on July 22, 1925. "Home" and "Family" was everything for Carolyn. She died in her home on March 22, 2014 due to health challenges related to asthma. She is the daughter of Belva Lockwood Johnson Evans and Jasper Roy Evans. She has three older sisters, Gertrude Jones, Margaret Lovett, Joyce Redd and two younger brothers, Marvin Roy Evans and Jesse Douglas Evans. At the age of 17 Carolyn fell in love with Lee Ball, Jr. and was married on January 10, 1944. After 70 years of marriage she has five children, Roy Lee Ball, Tena Louise Ball (Cheely), Roger Ball, Teresa Lynn Ball (Cummings) and Della Lee Ball (Atteberry). She has 10 grandkids and 24 great-grandkids. Her family was her pride and Joy.
