Chris was born in Oakdale, Louisiana, to Verdell Reese and Ena Reese. Christ was the third child of five siblings. The family relocated to Tucson, Arizona in the early 1970's when Chris was about 9 years of age.
Christ graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1982. He went to Pima Community College for electronics as well as some classes at the University of Arizona. Chris worked for Hughes Aircraft (now Raytheon Technologies) for 25 years. He also held several construction jobs, and with his take charge attitude, he obtained a position as leadman.
Chris loved to tear apart his and his siblings' bikes when he was younger which led to his love of lowriders and working on old cars in his later years. His favorite color was red, and he also loved his southern food. He loved playing and watching sports. In elementary school, he ran trach at Elvira Elementary School, and he played on a little league baseball team named the Apache's at Mission Manor Park. His favorite professional sports teams were the San Francisco 49ers, and the Los Angeles Lakers. Chris loved taking road trips to visit family and friends, he loved listening to the old school jams with some of his favorite artists being Keith Sweat, Changing faces, and R. Kelly. Chris loved watching classic movies growing up with his sister, Karleen, late at night. Chris loved his mother dearly, as well as his family.
Chris leaves behind 6 children: Rayjova Thomas of Colorado Springs, CO, Santanna Melbert of Colorado Springs, CO, Torian Thomas of Tucson, AZ, Christy (Mookie) Melbert of Tucson, AZ, Savannah Thomas, of Phoenix, AZ, Dominic Thomas of Phoenix, AZ. Two sisters: Kim Davis of Tucson, AZ, and Karleen (John) Tsukamoto of Prescott Valley, AZ. One brother: Demetrius Moore, of Eloy, AZ.
He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, six aunts, four uncles, six nieces, four nephews, eight great nieces, six great nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Verdell (Papa) Reese, Mother Ena (Granny) Reese, sister Gonekie (Nicki) Tatum, grandson Teryus Thomas, nephew Reginald (Reggie) Davis, and niece Brittany Richardson.
