Cleo J Nevarez

On August 3, 2023, Cleo J. Nevarez passed away peacefully in her home. She was 95 years old. A lifelong Arizona native, Cleo was well-loved in her community by friends and family. Cleo was the mother of seven children. Despite her large family Cleo always made time for everyone. She always provided support and love for her family. She worked tirelessly helping her children and caring for her Grandchildren and Great grandchildren. She would often tell stories of her family as they grew up with pride and laughter. She dedicated her life to being a devoted wife and mother. Cleo made it her mission to improve the lives of others.

Cleo worked as a preschool teacher who was loved by her students and parents, as was evident during holidays when she would receive the most gifts from students and their parents She always had a smile and a funny story for each parent as they picked up their child from class. Cleo was a kind and loving person who was always positive with everyone she knew .

Cleo was preceded by husband Ignacio R. Nevarez. Sons; Benjamin Nevarez, Samuel Nevarez and Felix Nevarez. Survived by Luz N. Murillo, Jacob Nevarez, Daniel Nevarez and Joel Nevarez. and many Grandchildren and Great grandchildren.

A visitation for Cleo will be held Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A rosary service will occur Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A graveside service will occur Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.
