Cruz Elena Sotelo

Lovingly known to all as Ma, lived life loudly and unapologetically. She enjoyed going to the casinos, dancing, and especially loved spending time with her family.

Elena is survived by her husband Jorge Sotelo Nogales. Leaving behind her daughters, Claudia (Reuben) Figueroa, Juliana (Adalbeto) Villarreal, Nayra (Jesus) Majalca, and Regina (Jesus) Gamez, Her 11 grandchildren Reuben, Giovani, Yanitza, Yulitza, Adalbeto, Jorge (Mari), Liliana, Briana, Tino, Alejandro (2024), Jose, Jessica, and her great-grandchild Sidious.

We will remember Ma’s incredible strength, enduring love, and the unique caring way of welcoming you into the family like one of her own. We’ll miss her 'no-nonsense' advice, how fun and crazy she was, how she celebrated our victories, rolled her eyes at our nonsense, was always up for some food at her house, a plate to take home, and showed up for us in ways that mattered most.

Mom/Ma, your love lives on in each of us. We will miss you dearly, and we will carry your spirit on in the attitude, laughter, and love you imparted to us.
