On May 14, 2020, Daniel Mark Chabot peacefully passed on to Heaven at the age of 57. Dan was born on January 12, 1963 to Bob and Gloria Chabot. He grew up in Tucson and graduated from Sahuaro High School. He met the love of his life, Linda, in 1993 and they married a year later blending together a beautiful family of three children. Dan started his career at Black and Decker/Dewalt and worked his way up to Regional Operations Manager. He was proud of his career and the accomplishments he made along the way. At the age of 41, Dan received his first cancer diagnosis. He powered through and beat it, but would later go on to endure a years-long battle with nasopharyngeal cancer and then colon cancer. He again beat each cancer with the strength, courage, determination and positivity of a superhero. He was an anomaly and continued to amaze his doctors with his ability to fight through even the most grim of diagnoses. He was an inspiration to many. Sadly, the extensive radiation caused irreversible damage to his throat and lungs leading to repeated aspiration pneumonias and ultimately his untimely passing. Dan is preceded in death by his loving mother, Gloria, and brother Rick. He is survived by his wife, Linda; three children, Brandy (Josh), Steven (Nikki), and Angela; grandchildren, Troy, Lucien, Dilyn, Beau, Tripp, and Poppy; father, Bob; four siblings, Jon, Dave (Marlene), Susan (Lowell), Rob (Lynn), sister-in-law, Donna; and many extended family members. Dan was kind, gentle and forgiving and touched so many lives with his jokes, smile and unforgettable sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by so many and never forgotten. We are grateful to all of the medical professionals who put so much effort and care into Dan's health. We would like to extend a special acknowledgement to the crew at TFD Fire Station 17 for saving Dan's life so many times. They deserve special recognition for the kindness and compassion they have shown over the last three years and most especially on our saddest day. A Funeral Mass will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 300 N. Tanque Verde Loop in Tucson, on Friday, June 12 at 10:00AM. All are welcome.
