His journey began in the heart of Fargo, where he attended Holy Spirit Catholic School and Shanley High School. He later earned an associate’s degree in accounting from Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona.
David’s commitment to service was evident early in life. He enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, serving with honor for four years. He later joined the Air National Guard in Tucson, AZ, continuing his dedication to his country.
Professionally, David worked at Ted's SuperValu (now Hornbacher’s) and later served the City of Tucson as a business license investigator until his retirement. His sense of duty extended far beyond his career. A man of deep faith, David became a Deacon in the Catholic Church and was a devoted member of St. Monica Parish in Tucson. There, he served as a catechist for Holy Communion and Confirmation, a Eucharistic minister, and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, attaining the honor of 4th Degree.
David also served as president of the Elvira Neighborhood Association and was an active member of the El Pueblo Senior Center, always embodying the spirit of community and service.
He was a man of simple joys. David found happiness in fishing, bowling, and gardening. He loved camping, traveling, family game nights, and lively gatherings filled with music, dancing, and karaoke. His playful spirit and zest for life will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
