Donald Russell Munshower

On December 24, 2017, our beloved Husband, Father, Tata, Brother, Uncle, and Friend Don, passed away after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Russell Munshower, his father, Alice Mount, his mother, and Ben Campbell, his stepfather, predeceased him. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruby Munshower, daughters, Lea Ann Murphy (Robert), Clara Kerr (Bill), Terri Hicks (Mike), and Erika Baker (Carlos), grandsons Bryan Savage, Michael Savage, Rickey Hicks, Jonathon Morelos, Matthew Morelos, granddaughters, Dr. Brandi Hicks, LTC, Dr. Amanda (Rachel) Kerr, Briana Hicks-Pedicone, Arianne Kerr, JD, Melissa Kerr, Mykal Morelos, Cameron Morelos, Madilyn Baker, and Ruby Baker, great-grandchildren, Brandon Savage, Kailee Savage, Tyson Savage, Timmy Guthrie, Tanner Guthrie, Trinity Guthrie, Aiden Pierson, Luca Pedicone, Lena Kerr, Miles Guevara, Elijah Ryan, and great-great grandson, Oliver Guthrie, as well a host of nieces and nephews.

Don was born on February 16, 1939, in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, and moved to Tucson, Arizona, in his childhood. He graduated from Catalina High School in 1957, and entered the Navy and served on the USS Cavallaro as a Machinist Mate, where he traveled the Pacific to Japan. After leaving the Navy, he married Ruby J. Perry on July 14, 1961. He and Ruby owned a Farmer’s Insurance Agency together for over 20 years, and in retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family, and watching the Wildcat basketball team.
