Earline Perkins of Tucson, Arizona, departed this life on 24 September 2015. Retired Major Earline Perkins exemplified the true meaning of service. Her life was one of complete service to others. Not only was this evident while serving as a nurse in the United States Air Force for 20 years, but after military retirement she continued to serve while teaching nursing and also as a surgical nurse at Heart Hospital in Tucson. Major P., as she was fondly called, continued her reign of service until retiring at the ripe old age of 84. She continued to serve others until she could do it no more. She had, and still has, a special place in the hearts of all who knew her.
She was a faithful member of the Davis Monthan Gospel Service, and the Tucson Arizona Mass Choir. She was also recognized as the “Woman of Spirit” in 2010.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her sister Gladys Kemp, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
