Elaine Guenette, age 82, died on March 23, 2025. Born on June 10, 1942, to Leon and Rose (Joly) Cormier, Elaine lived a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to her family.
Elaine married her beloved husband, Ray, on July 14, 1971, and together they shared a lifetime of cherished memories. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Rose Cormier; sister, Marjorie Cormier; her brother, Bob Cormier; and her sister, Jeannette Koufos.
Survived by her husband, Ray; her daughter, Michelle (Patrick) Foley; her grandsons, Simon and Spencer Foley; her sisters, Lucille Pucko and Rita (AL) Pierce; her brother, Paul (Pauline) Cormier; sister in law, Elaine Cormier and numerous nieces and nephews.
Elaine retired after 34 years of service from Chaparral College in Tucson. She was a longtime member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and most recently St. Odilia Catholic Church, where she enjoyed serving as a Eucharistic Minister. Elaine was well-known to many as the "Cake Lady," always willing to share her baked goods with others.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the St. Odilia new kitchen fund.
A funeral service for Elaine will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Odilia Catholic Church, 7570 N Paseo Del Norte, Tucson, AZ 85704. Following the funeral service, will be an entombment from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 E Grant Rd, Tucson, AZ 85712.
