Ernesto Espinoza Alcantar

Ernesto is survived by his children Iris Schiro (Josh), Ernesto Alcantar, and Adrianna Knew (Tim), his 3 siblings Raquel Alcantar, Angel Alcantar (Jean), Enrique "Henry" Alcantar (Lyn) and his 5 grandchildren Ronin and Olivia Schiro, Layla, Mila and Tim Jr.Knew and his nieces and nephews.

Ernesto was born on March 10, 1958 to Angel and Maria Alcantar. He was the 2nd of 4 children. He graduated from Catalina high school, after graduation served in the army national reserves. He met his wife Amelia "Molly" and they were married on May 7th, 1978, 3 kids followed. Ernesto was a talented woodworker, craftsman, mechanic, landscaper/gardener. He loved all of his grandchildren fiercely. He was" Tata" to 5 grandchildren whom he helped raise. Tata ruled with an iron fist ,but he was also their loving, caring, protective Tata. He lived for his grandchildren and was happiest when he was caring for them.

To honor Ernestos wishes, there will be no service or rosary but instead a big, colorful, happy, celebration of life with his favorite foods, live mariachis, tequila and cigars. Ernesto loved fresh flowers so we are asking all who attend to bring a bouquet of flowers to honor him.

Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, October 17th, 2020 at 3pm at his daughter Adriannas house where he lived. Please call Iris or Adrianna for directions and any questions. We will be checking temperatures upon entrance and masks will be discretionary but not required as the celebration is outdoors. There will be hand sanitizer and hand washing areas, plenty of seating with tables and ample shade. Please join us in celebrating Ernestos life, the son, father, brother, tio and TATA.
