God has opened the gates of heaven and sounded the heavenly trumpets as he summoned his most trusted angels to come to Tucson, AZ, to escort one of his greatest treasures E. Frances Sands, to her final "living place" in glory with her Lord. Frances (Price) was born on August 24, 1924 in a small town of Blodgett, Missouri and at the age of 22 married her life-long partner George B. Sands Jr. of Keiser, Arkansas at the Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit, MI on June 29, 1946. Frances and George have been married together for close to 67 years and were blessed with six wonderful and exceptional children. The oldest, Lynn Ellen (Sands) Day (Damon) (deceased-2011); George Byron Sands III (Renee); Paul Daniel Sands ( Elaine) (deceased-2005); Rebecca Ann (Sands) Walcutt (James); John Mark Sands (KeLeigh); and Roger McCormick Sands (Alma) (deceased-2012). George and Frances were blessed with 14 Grandchildren that warmed and tickled their hearts on so many days, weeks and years! Then there were 12 Great-grandchildren who were an added blessing to Frances' great life.
Frances, throughout her life would always demostrate the love and teachings of Jesus Chist to all that were around her and transferred that LOVE to all her children, Granchildren and Great-grandchildren! Frances enjoyed life to the fullest as you could tell by her smile, and was able to do many things as she and George traveled all over the world. Her love for life, family and friends along with a great hobby in sewing, will always be remembered and admired, especially her sincere kindness for children. Frances was a very active woman at her work (Manager of a Large Catalog Department for Sears) and church but always made sure that her husband George, her family and her God always came first!
Under the great medical care of TMC Hospice at Sterling House in Tucson, Frances was able to spend her last days beside her loving husband George and as her final days came, was very much at peace and ready to join her God and other special Angels in heaven. Today, heaven is a much better place since Frances arrived and is now smiling down on all of us with her love!
A Funeral Service is scheduled at East Lawn Palms Mortuary & Cemetery Chapel, 5801 E. Grant Road Tucson, AZ at 10 am on 27 March 2013. Burial to follow at same address.
Rest with your precious Lord, Frances.
