Felizardo "Cubecho" Galaz

Felizardo "Cubecho" Galaz, age 81, of Tucson, Arizona passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Felizardo was born on January 25th1942, in Bacadehachi, Sonora, Mexico. Felizardo was born to Antonio Galaz and Victoria Arvizu, both of who preceded their son in passing. Felizardo was further preceded in passing by his sister Cecilia Villaescusa, and his brothers Roque Galaz and Mariano Galaz. He is survived by his sisters Maria Lourdez Lemus and Maria Dolores Trujillo, and his brothers Manuel Galaz and Arturo Galaz.

Felizardo is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Maria Galaz. He is further survived by: his children Andres Galaz (Lucy Galaz) and Casandra Galaz-Gonzales (Jose Gonzales); his grandchildren Sofia Galaz, Diego Gonzalez, William Galaz, and Andres Gonzales; and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Felizardo dedicated over 30 years to DC Concrete as a cement finisher. After retirement, he worked as a custodian at Warren Elementary school; the children loved him there and called him their friend.

Felizardo was a devoted father and grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. Above all else he treasured time with his family, and his friends, sharing stories together. He had an avid interest in baseball, and boxing, and enjoyed time outdoors. Felizardo was a man of great faith, centering around the church in his hometown and the Virgin the Loreto.

A visitation and rosary for Felizardo will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 7 East University Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85705.

A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Mary Margaret Alacoque Roman Catholic Parish, 801 N Grande Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85745.

A committal and burial will occur Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705.
