Papa was the best. I still think of him, his birthday is coming up. I'm glad I was able to tell him how much I adored him.

O merciful God, standing here at the grave of our dear brother, I fondly recollect the happy years we spent together, sharing the love and traditions of our home and family. Alas! death claimed thee too soon, and removed thee too early from those who loved thee. Though Thou hast called him back, O God, I shall always hold sacred memories of his kindness and sincerity, love and devotion. O Lord, grant that the recollections of his life provide an incentive to righteous living. I place my trust in Thee who are the source of all life and my strength in time of sorrow. Though a link has been severed from our family chain, help me, O God, to be more closely united with those dear ones who remain. May the soul of my beloved brother be bound up in the bond of eternal life together with the souls of all the righteous that are in Thy keeping. Amen.

I don't know what flight George Simpson (Unk) boarded
I don't know when we will be privileged to catch that flight
So for now we shall stay on shore

I don't know if George's flight was just before day break
I do know his flight flew in on the wings of angels
I do know his flight was one soul paid in full
I do know he didn't sit in the economy seat
I do know he sat in first class
I do know his flight didn't require any luggage
I do know George Simpson packed his flight plans
years ago with Jesus
I do know his flight didn't serve distilled water
I do know his flight served only living water
Cancer Free
Pain Free
Worry Free
I do know his flight didn't need flight plans,
Jesus was his Captain
I do know his flight didn't need directions
to land in Paradise
I do know his flight didn't take long,
only a twinkling of an eye
I do know we will see Uncle George again

Papa you were like my second father. You were a great man, father, grandfather,great grandfather. You taught me and my kids so much and we will never forget u for the rest of our lives.. Your our new angel now in heaven.

No niece could have been more blessed than I. Not only were you an uncle but so much more. Advisor, comedian, prankster, jokester, encourager but most of all a "second' dad. 

The summers won't be the same.
"Hannah" and I rejoice in you homegoing. Your release was not easy, how I prayed for you to remain but you were not mine to keep. God in His awesome wisdom called you home to HIS peace. What can I say to this? I will honor and keep my promise as well as us all. Thank you Uncle George for all you have done for us, for me, over the course of the years. I will miss you more than you will ever know.

Sweet Peace! Sweet Rest! I'll/We'll see you soon. Give everyone a big old hug from all of us down here in KY. Until then, no good-byes, just a brief farewell.

Many wonderful memories flood to my mind about my Unk.  I will miss you but I am reassured that we will see each other again.  My prayers go out to the rest of the family.
