George was born on May 22, 1931, to his father, George, and his mother, Alice. George created
a lifetime of memories as a husband, father, grandfather, friend, and mentor.
At a young age, George served in the United States Navy and later retired with the United States
Air Force.
In 1986, George married the love of his life, Margaret. With this marriage he gained three kids,
Todd, Michelle, and Denise. As years passed, George had 6 grandchildren: Stephen, Jordan,
Stephanie, Joshua, Sophia, and Jasmine.
During George’s life, he was passionate about cooking (pot roast, BBQ chicken, homemade
french fries, mushrooms, BBQ ribs, and schnitzel), loved sailing with Margaret, working on his
cars, reading his bible with his family, camping, fishing, hunting, attending church on
Wednesday nights, and loved challenging himself to do new things.
George Henry Zibelin will always be remembered for his strength, encouragement to his
grandchildren, thoughtfulness, ethics, the history stories he would tell, and most of all his love.
George continuously reminded people, “God be with you, always!”
A visitation for George will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712. Entombment will occur Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, at the East Lawn Mausoleum, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712.
