On August 10th, 2023 Gerald “Jerry” John Imhauser peacefully entered the kingdom of heaven. He was born in Waukegan, Illinois. Proceeded by mother Elizabeth Mary Rue and father John Imhauser. After graduating high school at St. John's Military Academy, he enlisted in the Army in efforts against the Korean War. After an honorable discharge, Jerry went on to complete an associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked to design telephone switch boards, T.V boards and other electronics. Jerry pursed many different interests in life including a successful career in sales much attributed to his witty sense of humor and ability to befriend easily. Jerry enjoyed pastimes like chess, guitar playing and most proud of his published book, “Reasoning to Live.” He is survived by his wife Martha of 44 years, sons Jay Imhauser (Cindy Imhauser), Scott Imhauser (Mary Imhauser), Steve Imhauser (Peggy Imhauser) and daughters Teresa Wright (Larry Wright), Karla Imhauser, Jennifer Imhauser-Jimenez (Miguel Jimenez), Melissa Imhauser, 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and a host of friends including Lucy, a miniature poodle.
A visitation to honor Jerry's life will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712.
