With the saints give rest, O Christ, to the soul of Thy servant, where there is neither sickness, nor sorrow, nor sighing, but life everlasting.
It is with both sorrow and hope in the Resurrection that we announce the falling asleep in the Lord of our beloved Helaneh Lazkani.
Born in Syria, she lived a life rooted in faith, devotion, and sacrificial love. A faithful member of the Orthodox Christian church, she carried her Orthodox faith in her heart each day of her life.
She was a woman of prayer, known for her quiet strength and unwavering love for her family.
She is survived by her loving children: Maggy, Marcelle, Lydia, Najwa, Sonia, Khalil and Joseph; and her cherished 19 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church Building Fund.
Though we grieve, we do not grieve as those without hope. We commend her soul into the loving hands of our Lord Jesus Christ, trusting in His promise of eternal life and the joy of the Resurrection.
Memory Eternal.
“She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed”
Proverbs 31:26-28 ESV
