

After graduating from Jefferson High School in his hometown of Lafayette, IN, Jack earned both his Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctor degrees from Indiana University. His legal career began at Ball Eggleston, PC, where he practiced law from 1961 to 1970. He then served as Judge of Superior Court 2 from 1970 to 1978 before moving to Arizona and transitioning into corporate law as Vice President and General Counsel for several insurance companies until his retirement in 2002. Known for his sharp intellect and disciplined approach, Jack excelled in tackling complex legal challenges throughout his distinguished career.
A devoted father, Jack is survived by his son Jeffrey King and daughters Janice Christensen and Julie Groth. He was predeceased by his parents, Noah and Mable King. Jack’s family remembers him as a loving parent who balanced warmth with steadfast guidance.
Faith played a central role in Jack’s life. As an active member of the Desert Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church in Tucson, AZ, and a long-time leader of other churches in Phoenix, he found joy in serving others and fostering community connections.
In addition to his professional and spiritual pursuits, Jack was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and IU sports. He cherished time spent with family and found fulfillment in both personal relationships and intellectual endeavors.
Jack’s legacy of integrity, compassion, and dedication will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his passing.
Visitation will be held at Tucson Desert Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1200 N Santa Rosa Ave, Tucson, AZ 85712, US, on April 7, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location on April 7, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
