

She received her nursing license on September 22, 1989. She loved her "little old people" she carded for in the Long-Term Care Facilities during her 25-year career as a licensed practical nurse.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mercedes (Sadie) Meisel; sister Janice Beasley; and grandchildren Jesus Ramirez and Jacob Ramirez. Jane is survived by siblings Mary Anne Swichard, Barbra Majesky (Harold), Thomas Meisel (Karon), and Darlys Sanders. She is survived by her husband, Charles Gundvaldson; step-daughter, Ana Gundvaldson; sons, David Ramirez, and Richard Ramirez (Anna Lisa) and daughter, Elizabeth Ramirez; Eight Grandchildren: Chris, Conrad, Anthony, Leticia, Thomas, Matthew and Richard Ramirez and Delaney Coleman; Seven Great-Grandchildren: Evan, Santiago, Anthony, Julissa, Illiana, Hazel Ramirez and Brisza Ramirez and Baby Ramirez.
Christmas was Jan's favorite time of year. She made tamales to give to family and friends. Baking cookies and decorating the tree and house were some of her favorite activities. She loved cooking and using the smoker. She loved to hike up Wasson Peak and the Forest trails in the White Mountains of Arizona. She enjoyed tent camping and travel trailer camping. She will be missed by family, friends, and relatives.
Her memorial will be held at Desert Rose Heather Cremation and Burial 1040 N Columbus Blvd. Tucson, AZ 85711 on February 6, 2026 from 3:00pm-7:00pm.
Burial will be at Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery 15920 N. Luckett Rd, Marana, AZ 85653 on March 13, 2026.
