

Jimmie Lee Jimerson, affectionately known as "Jim" or "Buddy," passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on August 6, 1938, in Dangerfield, Texas, to Ira Marie Jimerson and Jim Jimerson, Jim was a loving, caring, and outgoing individual who touched the lives of many.
Jim attended high school and began his career at the Pima Mines. In 1973, he started working as a bus driver for Sun Tran Buses, where he dedicated many years until his retirement in 1995. Additionally, Jim ran the VFM on 24th and Park. Known for his loving, caring, and outgoing nature, Jim cherished traveling to visit family in various Texas cities, including Dallas, Ora City, Dangerfield, Greenville, and Atlanta. He also enjoyed playing dominos, pinochle, and loved going to Las Vegas.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Jim Jimerson; mother, Ira Marie Jimerson; and sisters, Amy High, Virgie Lee Roberson, and Shirlee May Cooper. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his brother, Lewis P. Jimerson; Isaac P. Jimerson, affectionately known as "IKE"; sister, Rosie Maria Jimerson; and a host of family and friends.
Jim will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held at Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church, located at 1019 E 31st St, Tucson, AZ, 85713, on December 1, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
The funeral service will follow at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.
A graveside service is scheduled at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 S Park Ave, Tucson, AZ, 85706, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
A repass will take place at Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
