Joe A. Gallegos Our hero, Joe peacefully passed away January 14, 2013. He was the 12th and youngest child of Juan and Maxine Gallegos born April 9, 1925 in Saguache, CO. As a young man, Joe bravely served his country on the USS Morris during WWII and after began his long career with Southern Pacific Railroad. Joe shared a beautiful life with his honey and beloved wife of 62 years, Dolores. He is survived by his wife; children, Vi (Alan), Tim, Debbie (Michael), Jerry (Cricket), Lucy (Mark) and Norma (David); six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a large extended family who loved him dearly. Joe will always be remembered for his unwavering strength, endless compassion and most of all for his unconditional love of his family. Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 17, 2013 at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL, 7 E. University Blvd. Mass 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 18, 2013 at Holy Family Church with an interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
