Born on February 25, 1942, in Austin, Texas, to Doris and Cyril Green, John was raised in Arizona. He graduated from Yuma High School and attended Arizona Western College. John worked for his father in the swimming pool industry in Yuma for several years before eventually retiring from the Arizona Department of Transportation.
A very private man who cherished his peace, John spent his retirement enjoying nature, riding his bike, hiking, and gardening. He will be remembered for the deep love he held for his mother and his strong personal convictions.
John was predeceased by his mother, Doris, and his brother, Michael Green. He is survived by his two children, Carol Robin Green and Jon Forrest Green; his granddaughter, Cheyenne Nicole Amalong; and his four great-grandsons.

A memorial service will be held at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, located at 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712, United States. The service is scheduled for February 3, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
