John T. Kirkpatrick died peacefully at home on April 5, 2017, with his wife, Hedwig, and his daughter, Heidi, at his side. John was proud to serve his country in the Air Force and was a veteran of World War II—8th Air Force, 392nd Bomb Group—and of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, his daughter and son-in-law, and his grandson. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in John’s name to DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Charitable Service Trust, www.dav.org
