Judy Hawkins, born August 2, 1940 in Superior, WI, passed away November 19, 2014. She is survived by 3 children; Dad, Mike (Dee Dee) Dietz; brother, Michael (Teresa) Dietz; sister, Sharyn (Fred) Wiemann, numerous nephews and nieces; devoted friends Garth and Terrie Hospers and all her buds at Thirsty’s.
Judy’s career was spent in the newspaper business working for the Anchorage Daily News and retiring from the Modesto Bee.
Judy was a longtime volunteer, spending many hours every week at TMC Labor and Delivery Desk and driving folks for Eastside Neighborhood Volunteers.
A bright light has gone out. Memorial service will be held at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 E Grant Rd. on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a No Kill Animal Rescue Center.
