Karen Sue Stone, age 69, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona. She was born on May 4, 1956, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, Cook County.

Karen was proud graduate of Bloom High School in Chicago Heights. Following high school, she pursued her calling to work with people by attending trade school for cosmetology, later dedicating much of her professional life to healthcare. She worked as an Instrument Technician at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights, Illinois, and after relocating to Arizona, continued her career at St. Mary's Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital in Tucson, Arizona.

In 1987, Karen moved to Tucson, Arizona, where her life took a joyful turn when she met William Stone. They were married on February 24, 1995, sharing many years of love, partnership, and devotion.

Karen had a deep passion for gardening and animals. She Found peace and happiness nurturing her plants and caring for the creatures she loved, reflecting her gentle spirit and generous heart. She will be remembered for her kindness, work ethic, and the love she gave freely to her family and friends.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents: Joanne and Robert Crain.

She is Survived by her beloved husband, William Stone; Her daughters, Lisa Marie Federico ( Arturo Federico), Jessica Marie Stone; and her brothers, Kevin Crain (Pam Crain), Kerry Crain (Lynn Crain), and kenneth Crain(Renee Crain). She is also lovingly remembered by her four grandchildren, one Great-grandchild. and many cherished nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Life honoring Karen Sue Stone will be held on June 27, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories in remembrance of a life well lived and deeply loved.
