Margaret L. Jackson, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away November 15, 2024, just days after she celebrated her 98th birthday with her children and friends. Ms. Jackson was born in Holly Pond, Alabama, October 29, 1926, to Garfield and Cora.
Margaret enjoyed baking and canning all the vegetables she could each summer when visiting her parents in Gardendale. Margaret worked many years in the restaurant industry at several different locations from The Club in Birmingham to The Flamingo Hotel in Tucson.
Margaret is preceded in death by her father, Garfield; mother, Cora; husband, Earl; sister, Erma Cleere; brother, Royce; son, Rod; great-grandson, Zachary; and great-granddaughter, Addison.
Those left to cherish Margaret’s memory include her daughter, Lynda; son, Randy; stepson, Mike; daughter-in-law, Susan; brother, Bud (Peggy); sister, Elizabeth; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and a host of extended family and friends from Fellowship Square, Tucson, where she enjoyed living her last 10 years.
Friends are invited to join the family Wednesday, December 4, 2024, for a time of visitation from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., in the East Lawn Cemetery smaller meeting room. A graveside funeral service for Ms. Jackson will follow visitation, at 3:00 p.m.
