“For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endures to all generations.”
Psalm 100:5
Margarita Davison, our dear & precious Mama, went home to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 99. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family.
Mama was our beloved matriarch and demonstrated much grace & wisdom. The Lord blessed us richly and we will give Him thanks and praise always for placing us in her care. She taught us by example, with love & tenderness. She was affectionately known as Nana and Nana Maggie by all of her grandchildren. Her priorities were God, family and our health as well as hers. She was a great cook (never used a cookbook) & enjoyed gardening, spending time with all of us, reading her bible and books on alternative medicines & therapies. She enjoyed watching I Love Lucy from back in the day and never grew tired of it. She was sweet, kind, gentle, generous, selfless, and a scholar of life. Simplicity was her trademark, and she was always content and appreciative of everything. Mama was very protective of us when we were growing up and that continued with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her great-great-grandchild. We will forever be thankful for her constant prayers & vigilance on our behalf. Her legacy can best be described as one of abiding faith and love. She was special in countless ways and our glorious memories of her will resonate in our hearts & minds for the rest of our days.
Mama was preceded in death by her husband Fred F. Davison and her daughter Lourdes “Letty” Leticia Davison-Rios.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Verdugo (Herman) and her son, John Davison (Vicki), Son In-Law, Eddie Rios, grandchildren, Noel Verdugo (Mandy), Joshua Verdugo, Sasha Verdugo-Caria (Sylvester), Sarah Rios-Schmidt (Burt), Leah Rios-Wicklein (Matt), Kara Davison-Chavez (Steve), great-grandchildren Lucas Verdugo (Kelly), Sydney Verdugo, Alyssa Verdugo, Addison Caria, Cash Caria, Bear Schmidt, Inez Leticia Schmidt & great-great-grandchild Hayden Verdugo.
We will miss you, Mama. Until we meet again at the East Gate – We Love You Always & Forever!
A private Celebration of Life / Memorial will be held on August 16, 2025.
