

She was born on September 12, 1930 in Findlay, Ohio to Clement Challen and Marie Stall. She lived a long and meaningful life filled with love, devotion, and quiet strength.
Maxine was the heart of her family. She was a woman of special qualities—strength, independence, kindness, resilience, warmth, and humor to mention just a few. She had a special way of making everyone feel loved and cared for. Her greatest joy was her family, and she created a lifetime of memories that will be treasured forever.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, music, singing, and dancing. In her earlier years, her faith was an important part of her life, and she found joy in playing the organ and sewing beautiful pieces for recitals, proms, and other special occasions. Whether in simple everyday moments or cherished traditions, she showed her love in ways that will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her loving partner of 26 years, Patrick, her children, Gary, Sherri, Becky, Cindy, and Tom, her grandchildren, Shannon, Garrett, Michelle, Christopher, Kayla, Stacy, Andrea, Joey, Angela, Tami, Ryan, Mandie, Cody, Ashley; her many, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren fifty -seven in all; brothers Jack, Joe, and Dennis, sister Betty, and also all those who were blessed to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Sherri.
A funeral service will be held on March 27, 2026, with a visitation from 10am - 11am and services from 11am - 12am at East Lawn Mortuary in the Chapel
Though her time here has come to an end, her love remains—woven into the lives of her family and carried forward in every memory, every story, and every act of kindness inspired by her.
She leaves behind a family who will deeply miss her and carry her love forward always—for her life was truly a blessing, and her memory will forever be a treasured gift.
