Monique Rose Huggins

Monique was born on November 10, 1999, in Tucson, Arizona. She graduated from Marana High School in 2018 and received her Cosmetology Certificate from Empire Beauty School in 2025.

Monique spent her days working her magic as a cosmetologist at Super Cuts, where scissors met creativity and style always came with flair. A true free spirit with an artistic soul, she loved SpongeBob laughs, Dr. Seuss wisdom, and color in all its forms.

Fiercely independent, Monique proudly marched to the beat of her own drum while still having fun. She lived boldly—scuba diving beneath the waves, skydiving from the clouds, hiking new trails, racing around town in her Jeep, and collecting a couple of tattoos along the way (each with a story).

When she wasn’t chasing adventure, she was hosting paint nights or cooking and baking like a pro chef, filling rooms with incredible food, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Monique’s life was anything but ordinary; and she wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

She is survived by: Denise Duran, Mother, Ernesto Duran, Stepdad, Martin Rodriguez, Brother (Adlemi Contreras - Fiance), Nicole Huggins, Sister (Joshua Backus - Fiance), Ernesto Duran II, Stepbrother (Jezebel Cavazos - Fiance), Florentina Duran, Stepsister, Albert Huggins, Father.

A visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Catalina, located at 3435 N First Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85719, on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at the same venue on January 11, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
