Norman Kenneth Record Sr., June 30 1935 -- July 7, 2023. Born June 30 1935, Norman shared his childhood with one brother, four sisters, and his parents who adored him. In highschool, Norman attended Chicago Vocational and was drawn to the trades. He served an apprenticeship program at local 597. Norman married a widower, Nancy Hunt, and adopted her two daughters, Lora and Judi. Nancy then gave birth to two sons, Norm Jr. and David. Norm and Nancy built a beautiful life together with their four great children and enjoyed their lives filled with friends, church, travel, and their grandchildren. After many happy years, Norm Sr. lost his beloved Nancy. A short time later, Norman was fortunate to find love again during CoVID and married JoAnne Holland. They were blessed to have a few great years together. Norman went to be with his Lord on July 7th, 2023, after he lost his battle with cancer. Norman was preceded in death by his brother, and four sisters, his first wife Nancy, and his grandson Jonathan. He is survived by his wife, JoAnne, and children Lora (John), Judi (Bill), Norm Jr. (Lisa), David (Helen), and many grandchildren.
Services will be held at 22nd St. Baptist Church, at 6620 E. 22nd St. beginning at 11:00am on July 20th, 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at Corazon Ministries 1955 W Grant Road #220, 85745.
