

Quirino Montoya was born in San Simon on 7/16/1928. Parents, Manuel and Pauline Montoya. His early childhood years with siblings Julio, Manuel Jr, Vicente, Rita and Barbara were spent in the Sonoita area ranching and farming with father and brothers.
In the mid 40s they migrated to Tubac where he met his beloved sweetheart wife Irene Solares of 67 years. They were blessed with five children.
Quirino continued farming and ranching and started transporting cattle where he then pursued his career as Heavy Equipment Transporter with New Pueblo Construction (Granite) Co. loving driving his trucks for 25 years.
Quirino was a loving, generous and supportive husband and father. He enjoyed spending his time with his family and friends dancing, camping, rodeos, fishing, hunting and traveling in his motorhome.
After 17 years battling Alzheimer’s he was succumbed to his illness.
Quirino was a fighter, a cowboy and a rancher that will live through and onto all of us.
Because of Quirino’s love of life and the humble great man that he was, his lifelong friendships, he will forever fondly be remembered and missed. May he rest in peace and be in a better place with our loved ones that have passed and our Lord.
His spirit will forever live through his children and grandchildren.
