Raquel was born to Mr. Fernando Sanchez and Mrs. Juanita Cavazos Sanchez on June 7, 1929 in San Antonio, Texas.
She married Rev. Gilberto on May 23, 1953 at the age of 23 years old. Together they had four children; Gilbert Jr. (Cecilia), Elias (Olivia), Sandra (Late Luis Flores), Johnathan (Rachel Hernandez). She leaves behind her last living sibling, Margie Gomez as well as many other family members.
She is preceded in death by her Late husband, Rev. Gilberto E. Marez, and siblings: Teresa Diaz, Joe Sanchez, Alejandra Moreno, Rebecca Ibarra, Olga Lopez, Celia Parra.
Raquel was a Faithful Woman of God who served alongside her Husband Rev. Gilberto E. Marez and loved to sing praises to the Lord.
A visitation for Raquel will be held Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706, followed by a committal service from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM.
