On July 28th, 2016, Richard A. Olson passed away after a long and full life. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn M. Olson; devoted father of Catherine Byroad, Cynthia Serafini and Richea Olson; loving grandfather to Ashley Boyan, Alyssa Byroad, Miles Serafini and Abigail Serafini; loving great-grandfather to Deaglan Boyan. He was also survived by his much loved dog Happy.
Richard retired from the United States Air Force as a TSgt after 20 years of dedicated service. He then spent the next 23 years working at Hughes Aircraft Company before deciding to retire and enjoy time with his family. His love of gardening was apparent in the pride he took in maintaining his beautiful yard at home. In addition he was an avid collector of model cars, coins and Kachinas
